Collins has a rich publishing heritage stretching back 200 years.
Collins Education has been using our SPIRIT CRM application to support their field sales team for more than ten years. The sales team comprises 35 people, who between them are responsible for the whole of the United Kingdom. They use SPIRIT CRM to track leads, make appointments and to place school orders.
In response to the changing classroom environment, Collins recently launched a new learning platform, Collins Connect, which is designed to be as easy to use as possible and to work seamlessly across all digital devices. A Collins Connect schools subscription requires the field sales team to work on quite a detailed configuration, and the Collins management team were very keen to ensure that no one should have to operate and work with a separate system for digital sales.
Working in partnership with the Collins Connect team, our developers were asked to create a bespoke front end for the subscription based digital learning platform sales. Our system allows authorised users to set up, renew, extend and cancel subscriptions. The Collins SPIRIT CRM talks directly to the Collins Connect access management system, ensuring that the sales and renewal process is entirely automated from start to finish.
The result is that the Collins sales team can now control a school subscription from trial through to renewal in a single application. Better still, it’s the same, familiar application that they use for every sales management process. The system is able to report in real time, which has been helping Collins to identify and act on specific customer behaviour, which in turn has improved and increased renewal rates.
